HOV车道设置特性及可行性分析

摘要:HOV车道是国外常见的一种交通措施。首先结合实例从用地形态、设置位置、与公交线路的关系三方面,总结了国外HOV车道系统的宏观特征。然后以美国休斯敦的一段HOV车道为例,通过对比不同车道设置类型和运行方式下HOV车道和普通车道的车辆行驶速度,探讨HOV车道的缓堵效果。综合上述两方面的分析,总结了国外HOV车道的设置经验。最后结合用地形态、道路特征、公交专用车道的设置状况,阐述了中国城市设置HOV车道的可行性,并以南京市玄武大道花园路路口段为例,从车辆行驶速度和延误两方面,通过仿真对比分析不同HOV车道设置方案的交通运行状况。结果显示,除单独设置两条HOV车道的方案外,其余方案均可提高路段平均车速。

Characteristics and Feasibility Analysis of Setting HOV Lanes

Abstract:HOV lanes are commonly adopted in other countries. This paper first summarizes the macroscopic features of HOV lanes in other countries from three aspects: land use, location, and its relationship with public transit. Taking one segment of the HOV lanes in Houston, U.S. as an example, the paper investigates the performance of HOV lanes in mitigating traffic congestion by comparing travel speeds on HOV lanes and the regular lanes under various configurations. Then the paper summarizes the experience of setting HOV lanes in other countries based on the above analyses. Finally, the paper elaborates the feasibility of setting HOV lanes in Chinese cities considering the patterns of land use, characteristics of roadway system, and bus exclusive lanes. Taking the intersection at Xuanwu Road and Huayuan Road as an example, the paper analyzes the traffic operational performance of different HOV lane settings in terms of travel speed and delay time through simulation. The results show that all designs can improve the average travel speed significantly expect setting two HOV lanes.
