信号控制交叉口行人过街交通组织与控制

摘要:行人既是信号控制交叉口交通事故中的弱者,也是交叉口秩序混乱和效率低下的根源之一。首先归纳了行人过街的典型心理和行为特征,分析了影响行人过街行为的诸多因素,包括行人自身特点、环境因素、交通因素、交叉口几何设计因素、信号控制因素、交通执法等。在此基础上提出了交叉口行人过街交通组织和控制的基本原则和基本方法。最后,选择典型交叉口进行行人交通设计案例分析。值得强调的是,为处理好行人交通问题,仅依靠交通工程措施是远远不够的,更需要完善交通法规,加强交通教育和宣传,增强交通执法力度。

Pedestrian Traffic Control at Signalized Intersections

Abstract:Pedestrians are not only vulnerable to traffic accidents but also the cause of disorderly traffic flow at intersection. By summarizing the characteristics of pedestrian behavior, this paper analyzes the influencing factors on pedestrian crossing, such as their physical state, environment factor, traffic factors, intersection layout design, signal control, traffic enforcement, and etc. Based on the proposed basic principles and methods for pedestrian traffic control at intersections, the paper introduces several examples of intersection layout design and signal control. Finally, the paper points out that engineering solution alone are not sufficient. To improve pedestrian safety at intersections, it is necessary to have better traffic laws, enhanced safety education, and powerful enforcement methods.
