摘要：位于京沪铁路与陇海铁路交叉点的徐州火车东站伴随着商业开发，形成了一个庞大的综合交通运输枢纽的复杂局面。通过对徐州火车东站交通特点与交通设施的调查与分析，探索适应城市老火车站改造的模式，提出了交通综合整治的概念：在利用既有资源的条件下，合理划定交通整治范围，通过对交通设施的整合与优化，交通的疏散与诱导，注重人性化的设计理念，尊重部分现有交通习惯的同时，考虑不同人群换乘的需求，实现人、车和谐共处。

Comprehensive Traffic Management Study for Xuzhou Dongzhan Square

Abstract: Located at the junction of Jinghu and Longhai railroads (the two major railroads in China, running from Beijing to Shanghai, and from Lianyungang to Urumqi, respectively), the Xuzhou Dongzhan Square has become a large comprehensive transportation terminal due to a rapid growth of the surrounding commercial developments. As a result, the original traffic-collective functionality has switched to a mix of intracity and intercity traffic, as well as pedestrian and vehicular traffic. By analyzing the traffic characteristics and the transportation facilities within or around the square, and for investigating a suitable pattern that fits the remodeling of an old train-station, this paper proposes the concept of comprehensive transportation management, i.e., making use of existing resources, reasonably defining traffic management responsibilities, incorporating human-friendly design into transportation facility reconstruction, as well as traffic channelization and organization, with attentions also paid to issues such as existing travel patterns, transit transfer needs among different travel modes, as well as the smooth interactions between pedestrians and vehicles.
