【摘 要】介绍了数字视频监控系统的概念以及在城市交通管理中的应用现状，针对北京市现有交通电视监控的现状和今后奥运交通监控的建设要求，提出适合北京市交通管理的数字视频监控系统方案。介绍了系统的设计原理、系统结构和关键技术，建议在多个分中心实行分布式数字化压缩和图像存储，并详细说明交通管理中数字视频监控系统的功能，为今后视频监控系统的建设提供一个可行性应用方案。

Application of Digital Video Surveillance System in Urban Traffic Management

Abstract: This paper introduces the concept and Application of digital video surveillance technology system in traffic management. Based on the status and development of Beijing Video Surveillance, it devises digital video surveillance system in Beijing traffic management. This paper also describes the design theory, system structure, key technology and system function, which is a doable program for implement of digital video surveillance system in the future.
