摘要：为在大、中型城市总体规划和交通规划中，使现代有轨电车发展与城市发展相结合，在分析现代有轨电车的特点及其发展影响因素的基础上，结合城市发展特点，采用例证的方法分析探讨了现代有轨电车发展与城市发展的适应模式，包括现代有轨电车与新城的发展适应模式，与组团的发展适应模式，连接老城与外围新区的发展适应模式。现代有轨电车与城市发展的有机结合对改善城市交通环境和提升城市形象具有重要的意义。

Modern Trolley and Urban Development: How Do They Fit Together?

Abstract: In order to take better account of modern trolley development in urban general planning and transportation planning, this paper analyzes the characteristics of the modern trolley and the influencing factors of its development. Considering typical issues in urban development, the paper explores the adaptability of modern trolley into urban development through case studies, such as adaptability of modern trolley into new district development, into cluster development, and into skirting areas connecting central district with outlying areas. A final finding of the paper is that an organized incorporation of modern trolley into urban development is fairly significant for improving transportation environment and for shaping up the city itself.
