摘要：通过分析西方发达国家和我国城市交通的发展轨迹，总结了城市交通与城市发展在各个发展阶段的特征，并阐述了城市交通和城市发展的互动关系。研究显示，交通工具和出行方式的改变与更新，影响着城市交通与城市发展的相互关系，而城市交通与城市发展的相互作用主要体现在对城市空间的影响上，这一影响过程对城市经济发展所起的作用是城市交通和城市空间互动关系的核心研究内容之一。

Urban and Urban Transportation: Development Courses and Interactions

Abstract：Through an analysis of the courses of urban transportation developments both in developed countries and in China, this paper summarizes characteristics of urban transportation and urban development of various stages, and investigates the interactions between urban transportation and urban development. The findings show that the improvement and renewal of the means or modes to travel has an influence on the interactions of urban transportation and urban development, and that these interactions are mainly a manifestation of their impacts on urban spatial structure. While, the effect on urban economic development as a result of this impact process is one of the core areas in the research on urban spatial and transportation interactions.
