摘要：依托住房和城乡建设部“城市步行和自行车交通系统示范项目”，以常熟市步行交通调查分析为例，归纳总结苏南发达地区中小城市步行交通系统运行特征和基本问题，探索步行系统的规划体系、设计要点及改善方案。提出苏南发达地区中小城市步行系统规划体系框架。围绕宏观的特色化分区、中观的特色化单元、微观的特色化空间，连续的步行网络和步行通廊，精细化的步行设施等内容，从规划和设计层面，详细阐述中小城市步行系统规划体系内涵。

Pedestrian System Planning for Small–Medium Cities in Developed Regions of South Jiangsu: A Case Study in Changshu

Abstract：Based on the pilot project on urban pedestrian and bicycle system developed by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of People’s Republic of China and pedestrian system investigation and analysis in Changshu, this paper summarizes the characteristics and problems of the pedestrian system in small-medium cities in developed regions of south Jiangsu. The purpose of the study is to propose the pedestrian system planning methods, design and improvement measures. The paper first introduces a framework for the pedestrian system planning for mall-medium cities in developed regions of south Jiangsu, and then elaborates the content of pedestrian system planning in mall-medium cities in several aspects: pedestrian zones at macro level, pedestrian cells at interim level, pedestrian space at micro level, pedestrian network and corridors, detailed design for pedestrian facilities.
