摘要：系统回顾了中国城市交通规划的历史，并在此基础上总结了中国城市交通规划所面临的主要挑战。从历史上看，影响城市交通供给和效率的社会、经济、行政体制、发展政策等因素未能得到很好研究。为此，需要加强城市交通规划基础研究、人才培养、法律法规、国际交流和典型个案研究等工作。

Exploration of China''''s Urban Transportation Planning History, Problems and Policy Recommendations

Abstract: This paper is a systematic explo-ration of China’s urban transportation plan-ning history and a summary of challenges faced by China’s urban transportation planning based on the former. It is pointed out that the socioeconomic, administrative, and develop-ment policy factors affecting supply and effi-ciency of urban transportation had not been well cared for from a historical perspective. It is thus recommended that more attention be given to basic research, education, regulations and legislation, international exchanges and case studies in urban transportation planning.
