摘要：为作好奥运会交通筹备工作，前期需要作好奥运会交通规划和组织管理工作。在分析北京奥运交通需求特点的基础上，提出了奥运交通筹备工作的主要任务及应采取的技术策略，同时对场馆交通运行管理涉及的主要内容进行了分析，探讨了奥运交通组织指挥系统框架，并对做好筹备工作、提高交通服务水平提出了相关建议。

Transportation Planning and Management for the Beijing Olympics

Abstract: In order to well arrange for the 2008 Beijing Olympics, it's necessary to plan ahead for transportation and traffic management during the course of the event. Based on an analysis of travel demand generated from the Olympics, this paper presents the major tasks and the technical strategies to prepare transportation services for the Olympic Games. Meanwhile, the paper discusses issues related to traffic operational management at Olympic Stadiums/Arenas, and to organization and control systems structure for the Olympic traffic. Finally, the paper offers some suggestions to arrange the Beijing Olympics and to improve transportation services for the games.
